widow house in the Foothills of Tibet.
Every day, dozens of widowed women make their way through the local towns begging for pennies with which they will purchase a small amount of food for that day and be able to rent a single space that night on a community bed in someone's home on the edge of town.
Our widow house will provide a safe place to live and good food to eat for dozens of elderly women without families here in the Foothills of Tibet. These women, who are often treated as outcasts by the local population, will be given the opportunity to live a much more normal life in a community setting that includes other widows and loving caretakers.
