Domain names for companies that have outgrown theirs.

Plateau holds a private portfolio of exact-match .com domains and sells them to the businesses they belong with. Every sale settles through licensed escrow, so no money changes hands until the buyer controls the name.

Four ways we work with companies

Most of our work starts with a company operating on a .net, a country-code domain, or a hyphenated name, that wants the .com. Some of it starts with a company that already has too many domains to keep track of.

  1. Private sales from the portfolio

We own the domains listed on this site. If one matches your company, we agree a price, sign a purchase agreement, and settle through Escrow.com. No auction, no broker layered on top.

  2. Buyer representation

If the name you want is held by someone else, we approach the owner without disclosing who you are, so the price reflects the domain rather than your balance sheet.

    How representation works
  3. Brand and email defence

When a business runs on a regional or hyphenated domain, mail addressed to the .com goes to whoever holds it. We help you find those gaps and close them.

    What a review covers
  4. Portfolio custody

Consolidation of scattered registrations under one hardened registrar account, with registry locks, funded renewals, and an inventory your auditors can read.

How a sale settles

The same five steps every time, whether the price is four figures or six. The domain and the money move in opposite directions through a licensed escrow agent, and neither side is exposed at any point.

  1. Agreement

A short purchase agreement names the domain, the price, the escrow agent, and the inspection period.

  2. Escrow funded

The buyer wires the price to Escrow.com. Plateau never holds buyer funds.

  3. Domain released

Once funds are confirmed we unlock the name and hand over the transfer code, or push it into the buyer's account.

  4. Inspection

The buyer confirms the domain is in their account, under their details, on their nameservers.

  5. Release

Only the buyer can approve release. The escrow agent then pays Plateau and issues the record.

Alexander runs the Plateau portfolio and handles every enquiry himself, from the first reply through to the escrow release. Write to him directly or use the enquiry form; both reach the same desk.

He will tell you what a name is worth and why, whether a name we do not hold can be acquired, and when a different route, such as a UDRP complaint, is the better answer.
